The 27-year-old Norwegian came in ranked outside the top 100 in the world and walked out of Charlotte a PGA Tour winner. A bogey-free 64 on Saturday cracked open a two-shot cushion, and a steady Sunday 69 was enough to hold off Rickie Fowler and Nicolai Højgaard. Breakthrough moments like this are exactly why we love watching this Tour.

👀 The Alex Fitzpatrick Story
A couple weeks back, plenty of folks took shots at Alex Fitzpatrick for earning his card by winning the Grant Thornton doubles event with brother Matt — the “does he really belong out here?” chorus was loud.
At Quail Hollow, he answered: rounds of 67–68–64–73 for a T4 finish at -12. The Saturday 64 matched Reitan's stroke for stroke. Card or no card, he's playing like he belongs.
