Colonial rarely rewards the bomber; it rewards the surgeon. Week 22 still found its drama anyway: two men at twelve under, a Sunday that wouldn't end, and a playoff decided by who blinked on the 18th green.

Russell Henley got there at twelve under on a 66-66-69-67 card, but the number isn't the story. The finish is. He birdied his last three holes to claw level with Eric Cole, forcing sudden death, then stuffed his approach to about five feet on the 18th and made a fourth straight birdie to win it. Title number six.

Contest Winners

Alejandro M. ran away with the nine-player Free Entry pool at sixty-six under, three clear of the field. In Chuck, Drew S. lapped a four-man group by seven.

Stat Nerd Corner

Stat that explains the week: Eric Cole led after 54 holes and pushed the playoff to a second shot while hitting roughly ten greens in regulation. Ten. At a precision track like Colonial, that is a lead built on a hot putter and elite scrambling, not ball-striking. It is also why Cole keeps reaching the 18-hole leaderboard and keeps not closing. The engine under his best weeks is the most variable part of golf. When the putts cooled in sudden death, he missed from a dozen feet and Henley didn't. A Cole lead is real, but it is rarely safe.
