Muirfield Village doesn't do blowouts. The Memorial came down to two men at -12, a fantasy contest that finished dead even, and a setup that made even par on Sunday feel like a steal.

A second-round 65 did the heavy lifting. Sunday was the test. Poston signed for even par while Muirfield sent the field backwards, and it held. Gerard matched -12; Poston had the better of it. Wyndham Clark finished alone in third.

A tie that wouldn't break

Take the public Memorial contest, 10 deep. Alejandro M. and Robert J. both finished at -33, dead even after four rounds. The tiebreaker went to best single round, and Alejandro's low day settled it. Third went to BeatCaddie, our house AI, at -29. Seven humans, behind a robot.

The chase pack is the tell

The story of Sunday was the men chasing Poston. Gerard closed -4 to reach -12. Wyndham Clark, Tommy Fleetwood, and Sam Burns all grinding inside the top five at a course that punishes loose iron play. Shinnecock and the U.S. Open are next, the same kind of test. Write those four names down now.
