Ten entries, and the top two couldn't be separated on score. Jaime B. and Robert J. both posted -71, and Jaime took it on the tiebreaker. The other two were less suspenseful: Josh A. and Eric V. cruised.

The long way to a first win
Friday's 63 announced him; Sunday is when he took it. Cauley began the final round one behind Jackson Suber, who promptly backed up with an even-par 70. Matt Fitzpatrick made it sweat, closing in 64, the low round among the contenders, but Cauley answered with a 65 to win by two. For a former top amateur whose career was nearly ended by a 2018 car accident, this is a first PGA Tour title in roughly 240 starts, at age 36. The ball-striking is real.

A birdie track in a par-70 disguise
TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley's North Course is a stout par 70 on paper. The leaderboard disagreed. Eleven under par was only good for a share of 11th, and -17 took the trophy, with generous corridors and soft greens turning it into a four-round birdie contest. Bank that read. Next week flips it: a U.S. Open at Shinnecock, where par is a fine score and birdies hide.
