Smarter Caddie: Backed by Real Player Stats

Ask the Caddie who the better play is this week and you now get an answer grounded in the numbers, not a hunch. Both the AI Caddie and the BeatCaddie contestant now draw on full PGA Tour season statistics when they answer your questions and build their rosters.

What's new

The Caddie chat has the stat sheet in hand. Ask about a player and it can pull strokes gained across every category — off-the-tee, approach, around-the-green, and putting — alongside scoring averages, FedEx Cup and Official World Golf Ranking positions, and recent finishes. Instead of a generic take, you get a fact-backed read: who is gaining strokes on approach, who is putting their way up the board, and how a player's current form lines up with the week ahead.

BeatCaddie now uses the same data. Before it fills out a roster in a public contest, it researches the field — weighing each contender's strokes gained, scoring form, and ranking — and then drafts its players from that analysis. Its strategy notes cite the numbers behind each name, so you can see exactly why it took the players it did.

How it works

There is nothing to switch on. Open the Caddie chat in any contest and ask about a player or a matchup; the stats are already part of how it answers. BeatCaddie pulls the same data automatically whenever it enters a public contest.

The stat set refreshes every week, so the Caddie is always reasoning from current-season form rather than last year's reputation.
